Flow Cytometry
Navitar manufactures custom forward scatter imaging and laser objectives and light-collecting side scatter optics that allow flow cytometers to collect light in various wavelengths and focus light to Photo Multiplier Tubes (PMTs). Each particle passing through the beam scatters the ray and fluorescent chemicals found in the particle are excited into emitting light at a longer wavelength than the light source.
