Modular In Vivo Multiphoton Microscpy System (MIMMS)

Daniel Flickinger and his team at HHMI's Janelia Farm Research Campus developed the Modular In Vivo Multiphoton Microscopy System (MIMMS) for performing two-photon laser scanning microscopy (TPLSM) for in vivo applications. The microscope has an open-frame type design, giving it maximum flexibility to switch out major components. MIMMS microscopes are used in a wide variety of TPLSM experiments.


Special Optics designed a 5.33X custom scan and tube lens and a 2.7X custom scan and tube lens for the Two-photon MIMMS design.
